Job Overview:
PRATT Industries is seeking a CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision parts for our trailer manufacturing process. As a CNC Operator at PRATT, you will play a key role in ensuring high-quality production and contributing to our commitment to innovation and excellence in trailer manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC machines to produce parts according to engineering specifications and production schedules.
- Set up CNC machines, load materials, and ensure machine calibration.
- Monitor machine operation, making adjustments as necessary to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
- Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools to ensure conformity with specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, including materials used, quantities produced, and any issues encountered during the process.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to keep operations running smoothly.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in CNC operation preferred.
- Proven experience operating CNC machines, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of CNC machine setup, programming, and operation.
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
